The problem
Profound uses LinkedIn posts by Nick, the CEO and the CTO to drive inbound pipeline. The team knew that when posts did well, leads came in, but had no good way to connect the posts to the leads.
-
What they built
A view that puts LinkedIn post views, plus some from Twitter, next to HubSpot lead data over time, so the team can see what happens after a post takes off. It ranks the top posts and top contributors. It shows, for example, the burst of leads after Profound's Series C announcement in February. Nick built it in about an hour. Separately, HubSpot reports leads from LinkedIn by month, combining clicks from posts with what people write in a required "how did you hear about Profound" field on the sales form.
-
So what
Leadership can see which posts and which people bring in leads, and how many leads LinkedIn produces each month.
Under the hood
For GTM engineers
Built with Claude Code, joining LinkedIn and Twitter post-view data with HubSpot leads. Attribution has two inputs: UTM-tagged links in posts, which account for about 20% of LinkedIn leads, and a required open-text "how did you hear about Profound" field (five-character minimum) on the Default-powered sales form.
